RICHARD MUNGER

With 35 years of experience developing Class A and Class AA apartments, Richard Munger’s expertise centers on designing multifamily destinations that elevate the culture and fabric of the surrounding neighborhood. As Partner for Toro Development Company, Munger is responsible for bringing exceptional residential living experiences and multifamily communities to life.

Munger most recently served as Vice President of Development for Fairfield Residential overseeing the development activities in the southeast. This work entitled multifamily projects in various stages of pre-development, construction and lease-up with a total development cost of $550 million. Prior to that, he served as Partner and Senior Vice President of Residential Development for North American Properties Atlanta (NAPA) where he managed the Atlanta office’s multifamily business line. During his decade-long tenure with NAPA, Munger developed more than $600 million of multifamily communities in Atlanta and Nashville and spearheaded notable award-winning projects including Edge OTB, Anthem on Ashley, Haven and Veranda at Avalon, The Hill and Emblem.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the Historic Old Fourth Ward Park Conservancy and is active on a number of committees for the City of Sandy Springs. Munger graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science degree. He later earned an EMBA from Georgia State University and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) certification, and also holds a Georgia Real Estate License and Florida General Contractor’s License.
